هنگام که گریه می دهد ساز

Once the musical intrument begins to lament

این دود سرشت ابر بر پشت

The smoky night carries a dark cloud on its back

هنگام که نیل چشم دریا

Once the beautiful blue view of the ocean

از خشم به روی می زند مشت

Slapped on its face in wrath

زان دیر سفر که رفت از من

Then, the memories of my last journey vanished

لیکن چه گریستن چه طوفان؟

But how does it matter if one cries or agitates

زان دیر سفر که رفت از من

خاموش شبی است هر چه تنهاست

It is a silent night albeit lonely it is

تنهای دگر منم که چشمم

I am the only one left and my eye

طوفان سرشک می گشاید

Is crying a storm

هنگام که گریه می دهد ساز

I still carry your sorrow in my heart

تازه می دارم اندوه کهن

And I revive these old griefs

خیره می ماند چشمانم

My eyes are fixed

نگه من سوی توست

My sight is directed at you

سوی تست…….

یارکی مرضی کے تابع یارکا دم بھر کےدیکھ

Recall the beloved as per the wishes of the beloved

یارکی مرضی کے تابع یارکا دم بھر کےدیکھ

بے ارادہ مرنے والے بالارادہ مر کے دیکھ

O you who is dying unwittingly, try to die with intent

سب تماشے کر چکا یہ بھی تماشہ کر کےدیکھ

You’ve tested all the spectacles, try this one as well
